We have just become aware that the Old Royal High School building in Regent Road is to become a National Music Centre for Scotland. On 7th October 2021 the Edinburgh city council’s finance committee agreed to grant a long-term lease on the building to the Royal High School Preservation Trust, which has secured £55 million funding for the project. The plans also include a new home for St Mary’s Music School.
