RHSCL Drinks Party Interview

Dear Royal High School Club in London committee members,

For the subject of the RHSCL Drinks Party interview this year, we’re delighted to announce that the actor OLIVER FORD DAVIES has provisionally agreed to join Al Senter in Conversation on Tuesday November 13th, rehearsals permitting.

Oliver has played many leading parts on stage, including King Lear at the Almeida and Polonius opposite the Hamlet of David Tennant for the RSC. He’s a familiar face on television in such series as Kavanagh QC with John Thaw, Midsomer Murders, Poirot, Foyle’s War and A Game of Thrones. On film he appeared in Star Wars and in Johnny English. He will shortly open at the Phoenix Theatre in a stage adaptation of Goodnight Mister Tom.

Oliver knows Edinburgh well, having spent two years in the city as a Lecturer in History at Edinburgh University in the 1960s. It was then he acted with our own David Robb and he was later to work with the Royal High’s Ian Charleson who became his lodger.

If Oliver is unable to join us, then Al Senter will give us a sneak preview of his talk, Conversations from the Green Room, about some of the fascinating actors he has known.

If you are planning to attend the Drinks Party, but have not yet responded, then please reply to this email to let me know that you are coming. The charge for the evening is £25 per head and you can pay on the night. Directions to the Le Troisième Restaurant are provided in the email below. The party starts at 6:30 pm.

Best regards,

Alex Prentice,

Hon Secretary
