The Royal High School Club in London is hosting an informal pre-Christmas drinks party at the Iron Duke pub, 11 Avery Row, Mayfair, London W1K 4AN on Tuesday 6th of December from 6:30 p.m. until around 9:00 p.m. The Iron Duke is the traditional Fuller’s pub in the heart of the West End where we held our Christmas parties from 2015 to 2018. This year we have reserved a table on the ground floor near the bar. The evening will be relaxed with the aim of enjoying good beer and good conversation – husbands, wives, partners, friends and guests will be warmly welcomed.
Costs: There will be a central kitty for drinks and we will ask you to buy a £10 raffle ticket on arrival to feed the kitty. The RHS Club will also contribute to the kitty to keep the party going. We will hold a raffle draw with generous prizes including a bottle of gin. The Iron Duke does not have a kitchen service these days but bar snacks are available.
Directions: To get to The Iron Duke take the underground to Oxford Circus (Bakerloo/Central/Victoria lines) and leave the station from Exit 3 for Regent Street West. Head down Regent Street towards Piccadilly Circus and after about 100 metres turn right into Hanover Street. Head west along Hanover Street, cross over Hanover Square, then continue straight on along Brook Street and cross over New Bond Street. Almost immediately after you cross New Bond Street there is a sharp left turn, off Brook Street, into Avery Row and The Iron Duke is 50 metres along Avery Row on the left.
